Alicia Kirby was a founding member of the editorial team at Monocle magazine when it launched in 2007. As section editor, she covered topics spanning food, travel, design and lifestyle, and reported on everything from film festivals in Korea, fashion weeks in Milan and new-wave architecture in Greece. She was also on the judging panel for the annual Restaurant & Bar Design Awards in 2011.

Since she went freelance in 2013, Alicia has been doing editorial and brand consultancy both independently and with Monocle's sister branding agency Winkreative. She continues to work with Monocle as contributing editor and is also a contributing and commissioning editor for the new online luxury lifestyle title Amuse, from Vice/i-D as well as editor-at-large for Lexus magazine Beyond. 

She has also written for titles that include Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal's WSJ magazine, Modern Farmer, The Sydney Morning Herald, Details and Condé Nast Traveler among others. 

Copywriting
Alicia does copywriting across all sectors and has worked with clients that include Airbnb, Hyundai, Hyatt Group, Olson Kundig Architects, Lexus, KJUS Ski, Autoban, One Fine Stay, Hostem and Alex Eagle. 

Editorial consultancy
From property developers to fashion brands and magazines, Alicia's editorial consultancy work spans a wide-ranging client base. She has worked on the relaunch of a weekend magazine for a major European newspaper, been acting editor of a title for a Japanese luxury car brand, generated a catalogue for a global hospitality group and created client books and newspapers for high-end property developers.

Branding consultancy
Alicia does consulting and creative-strategy work with brands encompassing everything from a global eyewear conglomerate to a luxury skiwear brand and a major transport hub in Australia.
